The problem you describe can happen when a phished/compromised Lehigh email account is used overnight to send out spam from the LTS mail server. This causes Lehigh's mail server to be added to one or several blacklists.  Many places bounce emails that are sent out from a blacklisted server. Even when the blacklist is removed, our reputation on the Internet can be "poor" due to the recent spam blasts.

Incoming mail is not affected.  Outgoing mail for users that send using Lehigh Gmail is not affected.

Report problems you experience to the LTS Help Desk. If you are having problems sending mail somewhere, a quick workaround is to  log in to your lehigh gmail account (lehigh.edu/google) to send mail.
